Microsoft Teams is an easy way to pull together a group to share, collaborate and communicate in one central location without the use of phone calls that take time away from our day or emails that can easily get buried. From directly within Teams we can bring everyone together to share information quickly, and easily. There are multiple ways to share files from within a Team to those who need access to those files.

Share files from your device with other people in Teams. This includes files stored in your Teams OneDrive, channels, and chats, as well as files on your local device. Send the file itself or a link to it.
Share a file from OneDrive in Teams
When you upload a file to Teams, you can share it anytime with other people and groups.
To share a file in Teams for desktop:

Select OneDrive
in Teams.

Go to My files
.

Hover over the file you want to share and select Share
.

Select Copy link
to get a link you can paste into chat or email.

Select Sharing settings
to specify people and their permissions with the file.

Select Apply to save changes.

Select Send
.
Share a file in a chat
To share a file in a chat message:

Select Chat
in Teams.

Open the chat conversation you want to share a file in.

In the compose box, select Actions and apps
> Attach file
.

Select a file and add an optional message.

Select Send
.
Tip: If you want to share a file from your computer's file directory, you can drag it into the message.
