Printing with Department or Organization Charge Code

Body

Who is This for:

For Students:  Student employees or club members that need to print items for their department or organization.

Employees: Employees who print for multiple departments.

Overview

By default, students will print using their own account and use their own personal quota for printing. Any printing that is not for personal use should be charged to the correct charge code.

All employee print jobs will be charged to their default department's charge code. If the employee prints for multiple departments, they will need to specify which department to charge from for each print job.

Directions

  1. Send your document to the FalconPrint or EmployeePrint printer as you normally would.

  2. At the release station, login with your own card or ID.

  3. At the Main Option screen, choose Print Release.

  4. At the next screen, tap to choose the documents you are printing, then click the right arrow to choose the account that should be charged.

  5. At the next screen, you will have the option to choose where the print job should be charged to.  You have several options:
    1. Use Personal Account: Choose this if the document should be charged to your own print quota account.  NOTE: With the exception of Graduate Assistants and student employees, all employee printing is charged to their default department's account, whether you choose your department or personal account.
    2. Select Account: If you are a member of a department's printing permission group, you can choose it from this list.
    3. Enter Code: Use this option if you have a specific department/club charge code to enter.

  6. At the next window, confirm the account you are printing for, and tap Print.
