Adding the Creality 3D Printer in Creality Print

Summary

The Narrows Digital Commons area was designed to be the hub of innovation, collaboration and a driving force in the creativity of the community at Cedar Crest College.  This combination of three rooms features a state-of-the-art 3D printer.  Although the Creality Print software is already installed on the workstation in The Narrows, each person will need to add the printer to their profile. If you want to print from your own computer, you need to add it, as well. This will help you do that.

Overview

The Narrows Digital Commons area was designed to be the hub of innovation, collaboration and a driving force in the creativity of the community at Cedar Crest College.  This combination of three rooms features a state-of-the-art 3D printer.  This 3D printer is easy to use, and prints very fast.  This is a basic set of instructions on how to add the printer to your Creality 3D print software.

Although the Creality Print software is already installed on the workstation in The Narrows, each person will need to add the printer to their profile.

Adding the Creality K1 3D Printer

To begin, it is worth your time to create an account within the Creality Software.  That allows you to save models, settings, and also to download models from the model library.  This set of instructions assumes you have done that.

  1. First, launch the Creality Print software.  If you need to install this, click here for Windows and here for Mac.
    Note: The software is already installed on the workstation in The Narrows.  You may download this and install it on your computer. 
  2. Next, check to make sure the Creality 3D printer is powered on.
  3. Once the software has loaded, click on DEVICE.


     
  4. Next, click on Manual Add.


     
  5. Select Printer(WiFi) and enter 172.16.205.230, and click Add.


     
  6. If the printer is turned on, you should see this message.  If not, check to ensure the printer is turned on and you are connected to FalconNet Wifi.


     
  7. You should now see this on your screen that shows you information about the printer.
