Exporting (Saving) Bookmarks

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on the Star icon on the top right-hand corner.
3. Drop Down the Add to Favorites box and select Import/Export…
4. When the Import/Export Wizard opens, click Next.
5. Select Export to a File and Click Next.
6. Check the box next to Favorites. Click Next.
7. Make sure that the top folder, named Favorites, is selected. Click Next.
8. Click Browse to change the directory to the preferred drive (H: Drive or any other non-local drive).  
9. The file will be saved as bookmark.html by default, unless you specify another file name. It’s recommended that you keep the default name, to make it easier to import later, unless you are saving bookmarks from more than one internet browser, such as Firefox. 
10. After you have chosen the directory and file name, Click Save and then click Export.
11. A message will appear stating that the Favorites were successfully exported. Click Finish to close the window.

Importing Bookmarks

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on the Star icon on the top right-hand corner.
3. Drop Down the Add to Favorites box and select Import/Export…
4. When the Import/Export Wizard opens, click Next.
5. Select Import to a File and Click Next.
6. Check the box next to Favorites. Click Next.
7. Click Browse to find the saved html bookmark file.  Click Open, then Next.
8. Select a favorites folder (ex: Favorites) that you want to import your exported favorites to, then click Import, then Finish.

Mozilla FireFox 

Exporting (Saving) Bookmarks

1. Open Firefox.
2. Go to Bookmarks in the menu bar, or click on the Bookmarks button   on the right side of the navigation toolbar.
3. Select Show All Bookmarks.
4. Note: In older versions of Firefox, you may need to choose Manage Bookmarks or Organize Bookmarks.
5. When the Library window appears, make sure that the All Bookmarks folder is highlighted in the left-hand column.
6. Click on Import and Backup in the menu bar and Select Export Bookmarks to HTML.

Note: In older versions of Firefox, the Export option is found under File-->Export.

1. In the Save As window, change the directory to appropriate directory (H: Drive or any other non-local drive) 
2. The file will be saved as bookmarks.html by default, unless you specify another file name. It’s recommended that you keep the default name, to make it easier to import later, unless you are saving bookmarks from more than one internet browser.
3. Click the Save button. The Export Bookmarks File window will close.
4. Close the Library window.

Your bookmarks are now successfully exported from Firefox. The bookmarks HTML file you saved is now ready to be imported back into Firefox on your new computer.

Importing Bookmarks

1. Click the Bookmarks button and select Show All Bookmarks to open the Library window.
2. From the toolbar on the Library window, click Import and Backup and choose Import Bookmarks from HTML.... 
3. In the Import Bookmarks File window that opens, navigate to the bookmarks HTML file you are importing and select the file.
4. Click the Open button. The Import Bookmarks File window will close.
5. Close the Library window.

The bookmarks in the selected HTML file will be added to your Firefox bookmarks within the Bookmarks Menu directory.

Google Chrome

Exporting (Saving) Bookmarks

1. In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu  .
2. Select Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager.
3. Click the "Organize" menu in the manager.
4. Select Export bookmarks.
5. Chrome will export your bookmarks as an HTML file, which you can then import into another browser.

Importing Bookmarks

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. In the top right, click the Menu Chrome menu.
3. Select Import Bookmarks and Settings.
4. In the "From" drop-down menu, select Bookmarks HTML file.
5. Select Choose File.
6. Upload the saved HTML.
7. Click Done.

If you haven't created any bookmarks in Chrome, the bookmarks will show up in the bookmarks bar. 

If you already have bookmarks in Chrome, the bookmarks will be in a new folder labeled "Imported from…"
