Ordering and Distribution of Devices

  • All students participating in the L4L program will be required to complete an online process to initiate their participation.
    • Required participants will complete a College form to schedule their laptop pick-up and accept the conditions of the program.
    • Opt-ins will complete an online ordering form through SimplyTech, and then a College form to accept the conditions of the program, before being able to schedule their pick-up time.
  • Orders will not be considered complete, and laptops will not be distributed, until the student has completed the steps above.
  • Opt-in students with Financial Holds must clear their hold or be approved by Student Financial Services before they can pick up their laptop.

Payment and Financial Considerations

  • Required participants may pay in installments over the period of their degree (3-4 years). They may also choose to pay for their laptop faster, including a one-time payment of the charge in full.
  • All Opt-ins are required to pay for their laptop in full in their first semester in the L4L program. Opt-ins may make a one-time payment for the charge in full, or they may enroll in the College’s tuition payment plan and pay for their laptop in installments during their first semester in the L4L program.
  • Students who withdraw or take a Leave of Absence may (a) pay off any remaining balance and keep the laptop, or (b) return the laptop, which will end any scheduled future payments. Refunds for payments already made will only be calculated if a laptop is returned before the 60% point in the semester.
