FalconLink: Resetting MFA For a User

Summary

If a user is prompted for MFA but they did not set it up - they won't be able to log in... here's how we fix that!

Body

Sometimes the user clicks through the MFA setup, and ClassLink (aka FalconLink) doesn't stop them.  Instead, it just prompts them to do MFA in the app they failed to setup the first time... it happens...

To fix it, the user must go back and configure MFA.  To do that, you have to reset their MFA settings... here's how you do it.

  1. Log in to FalconLink.
  2. Click on your profile icon and choose SETTINGS.
  3. Click Security
  4. Under Configure one of the options below to Enable Multi-Factor Auth for Sign-In click on the down arrow to the right of your MFA choice and Enabled
  5. Choose the option best for you (Mobile SMS, Image, or Mobile Authenticator) and click Save.
  6. If you need to change a certain detail about your option (Picture chosen or number chosen) click CONFIGURE underneath of your option.
  7. The option of your choice will now be your new MFA everytime you log-in.
