FalconLink: Resetting MFA For a User

Summary

If a user is prompted for MFA but they did not set it up - they won't be able to log in... here's how we fix that!

Body

Sometimes the user clicks through the MFA setup, and ClassLink (aka FalconLink) doesn't stop them.  Instead, it just prompts them to do MFA in the app they failed to setup the first time... it happens...

To fix it, the user must go back and configure MFA.  To do that, you have to reset their MFA settings... here's how you do it.

  1. Log in to FalconLink.
  2. Click Management Console
  3. Click Security
  4. Scroll down to Multifactor Authentication, then click the Gear.
  5. Click the Reset User tab.
  6. Search for and find the user in question.
  7. Click Reset.
  8. It will now prompt you again to confirm you really want to do this... click Reset.
  9. The next time the user logs in, they will be prompted to set up MFA -- give them this link to help: https://cedarcrest.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/2020/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=146547
