How to Access and Test the Jenzabar Testing Environment
Testing our applications, reports, and connections in our new environment are key components to the success of this project. Because of this, we are making every effort to make testing the new environment available to as many people as possible, for as long as possible. Please follow these instructions to get to, login, and access the new Jenzabar testing environment that is upgraded to the latest version of Jenzabar One and Infomaker.
Note: All issues must be reported via the online web form. Please click here to report any issues in the J1 or Infomaker testing environment.
- To connect to the Jenzabar Testing Environment directly, click Start and then type: Remote Desktop Connection --> click on the icon when it appears.
To connect to the Jenzbar test server, type in the address field: jzccr-j1test
Then click Connect
- Once you double-click, you will be presented with a login box similar to the one below. Input your FalconNet username and password, check the box that says "Remember Me" if you would like to simplify your login process in the future and then click OK. This will begin the login process to the Jenzabar Remote Desktop.
- You will then be connected to the Jenzabar server desktop that will look something like this.
- From here you will need to log in - selecting the JICS TEST database, as pictured.
- Now, you may proceed and test the things in Jenzabar that you need to test.
- Please make sure you logoff when you are done (click Start --> Picture icon --> Disconnect).
Running Reports in Jenzabar Bar One Testing Environment
During the upgrade process, Jenzabar upgrades our Infomaker reports and PBL files. Once this is done, each department has to test those reports to ensure they are displaying the way the department intends and needs them to.
- Using the instructions above, log in to Jenzabar One.
- Make sure the Home tab is selected. You should see the same reports in the Home tab as you usually do.
- If you do, click on those reports and run them to test -- compare them against the reports you see in today's Production environment for layout and data inclusion.
- If you do not see them, click on the green + icon ion the Reports section, and add them via this dialog box.
- You will need to know the location of the report (where it is on D: an the PBL file name). You can find this information by logging into J1 Production and clicking the paper icon (next to the green +) in the Reports section.
- If you encounter an issue with a report, you will need to resolve that issue in the report by logging into Infomaker 2022 on the test server and editing them there, not in production (IM2019). If you encounter any issues with testing reports and do not know how to edit/fix them, please click here to report the issue and ask for help.
- If you need an Infomaker 2022 account to log in to Infomaker and make changes to reports? Click here to find out how to get one. Infomaker 2019 logins work for Infomaker 2023.
