Changing Your FalconNet Password with FalconLink

Overview

FalconLink is the universal application launch pad for Cedar Crest College's many applications.  Within FalconLink you will have the ability to change your FalconNet password, access your Cedar Crest Online (Canvas) courses, connect with Microsoft Office applications after signing in with your FalconNet account, MyCedarCrest, and much more.  Additionally, these services will all be linked via your login credentials to allow for either single sign on, or saved sign on capabilities.

This process resets/changes passwords for FaclonNet - which encompasses​ the following systems:

• Network Computer Logins - immediate.
• Canvas (Cedar Crest Online LMS)​ - immediate.
• Office 365 (E-Mail, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive etc) - can take up to 30 minutes to take effect.
• Astra Schedule - immediate.
• Jenzabar - immediate.
• EZproxy (Remote Library Database and Journal) access - immediate
• Wireless Network (FalconNet) access - immediate
• External systems including: IT Support Center, ALEKS, Adobe Cloud Central, Barnes and Noble, Examsoft, Handshake, Interfolio, Maxient, Portfolium, Transact (Dining) - may take a few minutes.

Please note: When you change your FalconNet password, you will have to change your password in each associated system such as FalconNet Wifi, Outlook on your phone, etc.  Failure to do so may result in a locked account.

It does not impact these systems:

• MyCedarCrest
• e2Campus

One of the features of FalconLink is the ability to change your FalconNet password (here is what FalconNet password controls) from anywhere, and anytime.  Here is how you do it!

Instructions

1. If you can, log in to FalconLink.  If you cannot log in to FalconLink, click Forgot Password on the FalconLink log in page and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Click on your picture in the upper-right corner, then Settings.
   
   
    
3. You will be taken to your profile details.  Next, click on Recovery, and then click on Change Password.
   
   
    
4. On the change password screen, input your current password, then you new password twice.  Remember: all passwords must be at least 10 characters long, and include at least 3 of the 4 character types (Capital letter, lowercase letter, number, symbol), plus cannot contain your name.
5. Click Save.
6. Your FalconNet password will be changed within one minute.  This includes on-campus resources, plus Cedar Crest Online (Canvas).  Other resources (such as Microsoft Office applications and email) may take up to 30 minutes to reflect the password change.
