Activating Microsoft CoPilot (Windows 11)

Microsoft CoPilot

Copilot in Windows is an AI-powered assistant that helps you get answers and inspirations from across the web, supports creativity and collaboration, and helps you focus on the task at hand.  MIcrosoft CoPilot is included with Windows 11 and is activated on the Laptops for Learners laptops and the most recent faculty and staff laptop rollout.  

The icon looks like this and should be on your Windows taskbar:

If for some reason, you do not see it, here is how you activate it.

Activating Microsoft CoPilot

Please note that you must be fully updated, please run Windows update before attempting any of these steps.

1. Click the Windows Flag.
2. Start typing Settings
3. Click on Setting when it appears.
4. Click on Personalization.
5. Click on the Copilot toggle to the On position.
6. Restart your computer, and the Copilot icon should be on your taskbar.
