Laptop 4 Learners Computer Return

Form Purpose

This form is used by Campus Police to notify Information Technology that a student laptop has been returned.

Student Laptop Return Procedure

Students who withdraw from the college or take a Leave of Absence must either:

  • Pay the remaining balance and keep the laptop, or

  • Return the laptop, which cancels any remaining scheduled payments.

Refunds for payments already made will only be calculated if the laptop is returned before the 60% point of the semester.

Steps for Laptop Return

  1. Return Location
    The laptop and its charging cable must be brought to the Campus Police Switchboard located in the Safety & Facilities Building. The switchboard is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  2. Receipt Issued
    The dispatch officer will receive the items and provide the student with a receipt as proof of return.

  3. Notification to IT
    The dispatch officer will notify Information Technology of the return by completing this form.

  4. Device Collection and Assessment
    An IT staff member will collect the device within 2 business days. The device will then be assessed for any damages within 10 business days that could result in charges to the student.

  5. Account Notification
    Student Accounts will be notified of the laptop return and any applicable damage charges.

  6. Questions About Charges
    After the laptop has been returned, students should direct any questions about their account to the Student Accounts Office.
