All departments on campus are required to submit a request for any technology purchase on campus to Information Technology prior to purchase.
The Technology Purchasing and Acquisition Policy covers all College technology purchases, both campus-wide, IT-funded projects and individual department purchases, both through College and outside funding.
This helps to ensure that all hardware and software on campus:
- is compatible with the college network environment;
- complies with the college technology security policy;
- is properly licensed for use;
- can be supported (hardware or software);
- has a plan for support beyond the initial implementation.
