Overview
When setting up or connecting to FalconApps on a Windows computer, Windows may attempt to sign you in using your PIN, fingerprint, facial recognition, or another Windows Hello sign-in method.
FalconApps requires your Cedar Crest College account credentials. Your personal Windows PIN or biometric sign-in cannot be used to authenticate to FalconApps.
If you are prompted for a PIN or Windows Hello sign-in, follow the steps below to switch to your Cedar Crest College username and password.
Sign In Using Your Cedar Crest Credentials
- On the Windows sign-in prompt, select More choices or More options.

- Select the option that allows you to enter a username and password.

- Enter your Cedar Crest College email address and FalconNet password.
- Click OK, Sign in, or Continue, depending on the prompt.
FalconApps should now continue connecting.
If Your Email Address Does Not Work
Depending on the Windows sign-in prompt, you may need to enter your FalconNet account using the Cedar Crest domain format instead.
Enter: CEDARCREST\yourusername
For example, if your Cedar Crest email address is: spongebob.squarepants@cedarcrest.edu
enter: CEDARCREST\spongebob.squarepants
Then enter your FalconNet password.
Important
Your Windows PIN is not the same as your FalconNet password.
A PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition configured on your personal computer only authenticates you to that device. When FalconApps requests Cedar Crest credentials, use your College account and FalconNet password instead.
