Removing ProctorTrack from your course and adding new exams or quizzes

Overview

Due to a temporary issue with ProctorTrack, they have temporarily stopped their service.  In order to give quizzes and exams in Canvas, ProctorTrack will need to be disabled and new assessments will need to be created.  Here's how.

Traditional Canvas Exams

1. Disable (remove) Proctortrack from your course.  
   1. Go to course Settings, then Navigation
   2. Select Proctortrack from Navigation list and Disable
   3. Be sure to Save before leaving Course settings.
2. Remove the Get Access Code instructions for the Exam
   1. These instructions are in the Exam Text Editor.  Delete the all text and the "Get Access Code" link
3. Remove the "Require Access Code" setting for the Exam
4. Be sure to Save before leaving the Exam Settings

New Quizzes

1. Disable (remove) Proctortrack from your course.  
   1. Go to course Settings, then Navigation
   2. Select Proctortrack from Navigation list and Disable
   3. Be sure to Save before leaving Course settings.
2. Remove the Get Access Code for the Exam
   1. Open the New Quiz and select Settings.
   2. Disable "Require a student Access code"
