Using FalconLink to Access Applications

Tags falconlink

Overview

FalconLink is the universal application launch pad for Cedar Crest College's many applications.  Within FalconLink you will have the ability to change your FalconNet password, access your Cedar Crest Online (Canvas) courses, connect with Microsoft Office applications after signing in with your FalconNet account, MyCedarCrest, and much more.  Additionally, these services will all be linked via your login credentials to allow for either single sign on, or saved sign on capabilities.

Here are instructions on how to access both kinds of single-sign-on applications.

Instructions for Single-Sign-On

  1. Log in to FalconLink.
  2. Click on the application you want to access (such as Outlook, Cedar Crest Online, etc).
  3. If this is your first time using FalconLink, it will ask you to install the Browser Extenstion - see here for help if needed - please follow the on-screen instructions to do so.
  4. When you click on the link, it will open a new browser tab, access the website and begin the log in process.  This may take a few moments.  You will see a screen pop-up that says "ClassLink One-Click - Making the magic happen...".
Note: If this is the first time you are doing this, it will ask you to install the browser extension for Classlink.  Please follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. After a few moments, the log in process will complete, and you will be in your application.

Instructions for Saved Single-Sign-On

  1. Log in to FalconLink.
  2. Click on the application you want to access that do not use FalconNet for authentication (which include MyCedarCrest, Docuware, Adobe Sign, and others)
  3. You will be taken to a screen that asks for your username and password (Note: MyCedarCrest username is your ID number).
Note: If this is the first time you are doing this, it will ask you to install the browser extension for Classlink.  Please follow the on-screen instructions.

  4. After entering your username and password, it will connect you to your application and store your password for future use.  You will not have to enter it again.
