Accessing OneDrive from within FalconLink

Overview

FalconLink is the universal application launch pad for Cedar Crest College's many applications.  Within FalconLink you will have the ability to change your FalconNet password, access your Cedar Crest Online (Canvas) courses, connect with Microsoft Office applications after signing in with your FalconNet account, MyCedarCrest, and much more.  Additionally, these services will all be linked via your login credentials to allow for either single sign on, or saved sign on capabilities.

FalconLink includes a feature called MyFiles that allows you to access and use your files that exist on our local network and your Microsoft OneDrive from within FalconLink.  Here is how that feature works.

Instructions on Accessing OneDrive

  1. From the FalconLink Launchpad, there are two methods to accessing OneDrive.  First, you can click on the OneDrive icon in LaunchPad which will take you to Microsoft's website, sign you in, and then give you access to your OneDrive.

The second way is to connect OneDrive in MyFiles.  To do this, click on the blue folder icon at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Once you have clicked on the blue folder icon, a new browser window will appear telling you that MyFiles is loading.  Once in MyFiles, you will see your the network drives available to you, plus a link for Manage Services.  Click on Manage Services.
Note: If you do not see a network drive that you need access to via FalconLink MyFiles, please click here and put in a help desk ticket requesting access via FalconLink.

  3. To connect to your OneDrive, click Connect.  A window will open that will authenticate you to Office 365's OneDrive service.

  4. Once connected, you will see this in FalconLink.

  5. Click on OneDrive to access the files on your personal OneDrive.
Note: At this time, shared department OneDrives are not available via MyFiles.  Please use the LaunchPad OneDrive icon for those, and authenticate as needed.
