Changing Your Forgotten FalconNet Password with FalconLink

Overview

FalconLink is the universal application launch pad for Cedar Crest College's many applications.  Within FalconLink you will have the ability to change your FalconNet password, access your Cedar Crest Online (Canvas) courses, connect with Microsoft Office applications after signing in with your FalconNet account, MyCedarCrest, and much more.  Additionally, these services will all be linked via your login credentials to allow for either single sign on, or saved sign on capabilities.

This system resets/changes passwords for FaclonNet - which encompasses the following systems:

  • Network Computer Logins - immediate.
  • Canvas (Cedar Crest Online LMS) - immediate.
  • Office 365 (E-Mail, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive etc) - can take up to 30 minutes to take effect.
  • Astra Schedule - immediate.
  • Jenzabar - immediate.
  • EZproxy (Remote Library Database and Journal) access - immediate
  • Wireless Network (FalconNet) access - immediate
  • External systems including: IT Support Center, ALEKS, Adobe Cloud Central, Barnes and Noble, Examsoft, Handshake, Interfolio, Maxient, Portfolium, Transact (Dining) - may take a few minutes.

It does not impact these systems:

  • MyCedarCrest
  • e2Campus

One of the features of FalconLink is the ability to change your FalconNet password (here is what FalconNet password controls) from anywhere, and anytime -- even if you have forgotten it.  Here is how you do it!

Instructions

  1. Go to the main FalconLink page at https://falconlink.cedarcrest.edu
  2. From the FalconLink log in page, click Help, I forgot my password.

  3. You will be taken to the Classlink Reset Password page.  Fill in your FalconNet username (that's the first part of your FalconNet email address), then click the check mark.

  4. Once you click the check mark, an email will be sent to your registered email address.  If you get an error that says you have not registered, you will need to open a help desk ticket for assistance.  Click here to do that, or send an email to helpdesk@cedarcrest.edu.

  5. Once you receive the email, you can click the link inside that email - if you registered a cell phone for password reset, you will receive a Code.  If you did, click Go back to reset password and input your username and the code sent to you.
