FalconLink is the universal application launch pad for Cedar Crest College's many applications. One of the features of FalconLink is the ability to change your FalconNet password (here is what FalconNet password controls) from anywhere, and anytime -- even if you have forgotten it.  Here is how you do it!
Policy covering the creation and alteration of FalconNet account passwords.
FalconLink is the universal application launch pad for Cedar Crest College's many applications.  When you change your password in an application that is a Saved Single-Sign-On application, you will also need to update it in FalconLink.  Here's how!
Your FalconNet password requires that you change it once every calendar year. Your laptop caches any password that you use to login that is certified by the local server.  If you are not connected to the local network when you login, your laptop will not check the password (for 45 days), and will not recognize your new password as being valid until you come to campus, plug in, and login again. Here is how to fix it.
n order to further secure your FalconNet account, Cedar Crest has begun enrolling accounts into FalconNet Multifactor Authentication for Office 365.  Multifactor authentication requires that you know your username, your password, and verify your login via another method. In the case you are using an application that does not support multifactor authentication, you may need to generate and use an App Specific Password.  These should only be used when absolutely necessary.
