Managing Junk Mail and Phishing (Outlook on the Web)

Here are some instructions to help manage Junk Mail in Outlook on the Web

Manage your junk email

Add Mail to Safe Sender List

  1. Select Junk Mail from the Outlook Web Application.

  2. Right click on the message that is not supposed to be in your Junk Mail folder.

  3. Left click on "Mark as not junk" in the pop up menu.


Report SPAM/Junk Mail

  1. From your inbox, right click on message that is SPAM/Junk.
  2. Select "Mark as junk"

Change Junk Mail Settings

  1. At the top of the Outlook Web page, select Settings Settings: update your profile, install software and connect it to the cloud
  2. Scroll down to the bottom under "App Settings" and select Mail.
  3. Under Options, select Block or allow.
  4. To manually add someone, like notifications@instructure.com (Canvas) type in the e-mail address and hit the +
  5. To manually remove someone, select the email address and click the Trash Can icon.
  6. You should check the box for TRUST EMAIL FROM MY CONTACTS to make sure that those you have in your list are always trusted.
