Information for students who aren't automatically eligible for the laptop program.
In the past, laptops have sometimes come with pre-configured local accounts to use while off-campus.  With the new Windows 10 laptops, this is no longer the case and a few steps must be taken to ensure that these laptops will work for everyone reliably.

Your FalconNet password requires that you change it once every calendar year. Your laptop caches any password that you use to login that is certified by the local server.  If you are not connected to the local network when you login, your laptop will not check the password (for 45 days), and will not recognize your new password as being valid until you come to campus, plug in, and login again. Here is how to fix it.
