Multifactor authentication requires that you know your username, your password, and verify your login via another method. Here is how your configure and use your account with MFA.
n order to further secure your FalconNet account, Cedar Crest has begun enrolling accounts into FalconNet Multifactor Authentication for Office 365. Multifactor authentication requires that you know your username, your password, and verify your login via another method. In the case you are using an application that does not support multifactor authentication, you may need to generate and use an App Specific Password. These should only be used when absolutely necessary.
Your FalconNet password requires that you change it once every calendar year. Your laptop caches any password that you use to login that is certified by the local server. If you are not connected to the local network when you login, your laptop will not check the password (for 45 days), and will not recognize your new password as being valid until you come to campus, plug in, and login again.
